Welcome to Marriage Drift. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Marriage Drift website, digital tools, written content, reflection prompts, journaling features, paid features, supporter memberships, and related services.

1. Purpose of Marriage Drift

Marriage Drift is a digital relationship reflection and support platform designed to offer thoughtful prompts, guided reflections, personal exercises, written content, and relationship-focused tools.

Marriage Drift is intended to provide a quiet, supportive space for individuals and couples to reflect, reconnect, and pay attention to the condition of their relationship.

Marriage Drift is not therapy. It is not marriage counseling. It is not legal advice. It is not medical advice. It is not crisis intervention. It is not a substitute for help from a licensed professional.

2. No Professional Counseling, Therapy, Medical, or Legal Advice

The content provided through Marriage Drift is for educational, reflective, and personal-growth purposes only.

Marriage Drift does not provide:

Professional counseling

Marriage therapy

Psychotherapy

Medical diagnosis or treatment

Legal advice

Crisis response services

Domestic violence intervention

Emergency support

Use of Marriage Drift does not create a therapist-client, counselor-client, doctor-patient, attorney-client, clergy-client, or other professional relationship.

You are responsible for deciding whether Marriage Drift is appropriate for your situation. If you are dealing with abuse, threats, coercion, domestic violence, emotional harm, self-harm thoughts, severe distress, addiction, mental health concerns, legal issues, or relationship circumstances that may require professional support, you should contact an appropriate qualified professional.

3. Emergency and Crisis Situations

Marriage Drift is not an emergency service and should not be used as a way to request urgent help.

If you are in immediate danger, believe someone else is in immediate danger, or are experiencing a medical, mental health, domestic violence, abuse, or safety emergency, call 911 or contact emergency services in your area.

If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, contact a crisis hotline, emergency service, mental health professional, or trusted local support immediately.

Marriage Drift does not monitor user activity in real time and cannot guarantee that any statement, journal entry, message, or reflection will be reviewed or acted upon immediately.

4. User Responsibility

By using Marriage Drift, you understand and agree that:

You are responsible for how you interpret and apply the content.

You are responsible for your own choices, conversations, relationship decisions, and actions.

Marriage Drift does not guarantee any specific relationship outcome.

Marriage Drift does not guarantee reconciliation, healing, conflict resolution, improved communication, or relationship success.

You should not rely on Marriage Drift as your only source of support for serious relationship, emotional, legal, medical, or safety concerns.

5. Accounts and Access

Some features of Marriage Drift may require you to create an account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating or using an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, you should contact us promptly at:

support@marriagedrift.com

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to any account that violates these Terms, misuses the platform, attempts to interfere with the website, creates safety concerns, or engages in harmful, abusive, unlawful, or disruptive conduct.

6. Couples, Shared Features, and Partner Access

Marriage Drift may allow users to invite a spouse, partner, or other person to participate in shared features.

You are responsible for choosing what you share and with whom you share it. If you invite another person, you understand that shared content may become visible to that person depending on the features used.

Marriage Drift is not responsible for how another user interprets, saves, shares, reacts to, or uses content that you choose to share with them.

You should not use Marriage Drift to pressure, control, monitor, manipulate, threaten, or coerce another person.

7. User Content, Reflections, and Journal Entries

Marriage Drift may allow you to write, save, submit, or share personal reflections, notes, journal entries, responses, or other content.

You retain ownership of the personal content you create. By submitting content to Marriage Drift, you grant us a limited right to store, process, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the platform and provide the services you request.

We do not claim ownership over your private reflections or journal entries.

8. Safety, Harm, Abuse, and Reporting

Marriage Drift respects user privacy, including private reflections and journal entries. However, privacy has limits when safety is at risk.

If we become aware of information that reasonably suggests child abuse, abuse or exploitation of a vulnerable adult, imminent risk of serious harm, threats of violence, self-harm, domestic violence, coercion, exploitation, or other serious safety concerns, we reserve the right to take appropriate action.

This may include contacting, reporting to, or cooperating with:

Emergency services

Law enforcement

Child protective services

Adult protective services

If you believe someone is in danger, you should contact emergency services or the appropriate authorities directly.

9. Confidentiality Limitations

Marriage Drift is designed to provide a private and respectful space, but it is not a confidential therapy, counseling, legal, medical, or crisis service.

Communications, reflections, account information, and saved content may be stored digitally using third-party services, including Firebase and other technology providers. No website, database, or digital platform can guarantee absolute privacy or security.

You should not use Marriage Drift as your only place to store emergency information, abuse disclosures, legal evidence, safety plans, or information that requires immediate intervention.

We reserve the right to preserve or disclose information when required by law or when we believe disclosure is necessary to address serious safety concerns, suspected abuse, threats, self-harm, harm to others, misuse of the platform, or legal obligations.

10. Paid Features, Supporter Memberships, and Payments

Stripe’s processing of your payment information is subject to Stripe’s own terms, policies, and privacy practices.

11. Donations and Supporter Contributions

Marriage Drift may allow users to make voluntary supporter payments or contributions to help keep the platform available.

Unless specifically stated in writing, these payments are not tax-deductible charitable donations.

Supporter payments do not create:

Ownership rights

Voting rights

Equity rights

Guaranteed services

Guaranteed access to future features

Any entitlement beyond what is expressly offered at the time of payment

12. Refunds and Cancellations

Unless otherwise stated, digital purchases, supporter payments, donations, and subscription charges are non-refundable once processed.
